Charitable Acts. “True LOVE”

Love is not just a noun! Or an expression of elaborate words. Love requires action .

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.”

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 NIV

God’s love is unfailing, it is consistent and better than life.

Psalms 23:6

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 NIV

Do you want to know, what Love is really all about? Well, it’s not just about having our needs met; but instead it’s about meeting the needs of others; it’s not just about being served but serving ; it’s not just about keeping track; but instead paying the price ; it’s not just about, finally getting everything you always wanted but giving all that you have. As difficult and daunting as it may seem,

Love will require the ultimate sacrifice of being selfless and giving and sharing of ones self but it will be the most rewarding act accomplished in ones life.

Love is simply not just a mere emotion or a burst of an array of feelings, it is a simple act that is denoted by the character of the individual who chooses to operate in Love. True love is given freely to anyone who ask with a sincere heart. True Love is not insistent, except in its persistence to love others unconditionally. True love puts others at ease. It is so consistent in its actions that others can depend on the reliability of its attributes. True Love doesn’t keep an account of a wrong suffered. It requires a decision to let go of the violation with the intent to forgive or be forgiven of the offense given. To forgive others for who they aren’t capable of being is a true act of Love.

Love is clothed with compassion, kindness humility, gentleness, and patience and being able to tolerate one another by forgiving one another’s grievances .. True love rejoices in what is right. True Love bears all things and hopes all things . True love endures all things. True love will never fail. These are the virtues , the very attributes of love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Colossians 3:12-14

Surely, the The Most High’s Goodness & Love will follow me all the days of my life. I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalms 33:18; NIV
